ORPHAN MINISTRY

In India, there is suffering because of starvation about 40% of the Indian population everyday. Starvation deaths take place slowly and silently. We are looking after 1150 orphan kids in nine different homes in the state of Andhra Pradesh. There are many orphans who needs support, We are praying for them.

Surely,there must be a Christian response to this and once again, there is HARVEST-INDIA.

MASS MEAL

poor feeding is done on a mass scale as frequently as possible, apart from Christmas meal and Easter Meals with Christ's compassion seen in Matt 15;32,when he said, not satisfies with preaching alone, "I have compassion on the multitude.... I will not send them away fasting".

Children picking up from waste and dust bins anything they could put in their mouths is a common sight in our country. Many of the children sent to school with the initial enthusiasm will become laborers, before they complete their primary school studies, for want of food. HARVEST - INDIA feeds hundreds of such people.

THE BEST STEWARDSHIP (SELF-SUPPORTING)

At present the church in India is facing many trials and tribulations from other religious groups. Without knowing what will happen in the future, we believe that we need to be wise and continue the work we have started for God inspite of the trials that we are encountering. Our goal is to build a self sustaining ministry that will allow the pastors to continue there ministry with fewer obstacles in their paths.

One of the ways that God has enabled us to do this is by buying rice-paddies at a cost of $6,000 per acre, of which each acre can sustain up to 4 pastors for a years time. This relieves other financial burdens that are incurred and allows that money to be wisely spent in other areas of ministry. If we can duplicate this effort we will soon be able to support all of our pastors and eventually provide a surplus of grain which can be sold to offset other expenses. HARVEST-INDIA believes that this not only is the best stewardship of our current resources, it will set us up to be self-sufficient for future days to build the Kingdom of God. We are believing in God to buy 100 acres of land for the expansion of his kingdom. This is where our partnerships with you are invaluable.
