RELIEF
MINISTRY
In
many villages in India there are no First Aid and/or medical
facilities. God has given the burden to HARVEST INDIA
to work with the medical camps in many villages. We take doctors/nurses
and medicine to each village on a regular basis to help alleviate
this great need. This is a very effective ministry to show
the love of Christ through our deeds. Please continue to pray
that God will provide more resources and medical supplies
to assist in this ongoing work.

AIDS MINISTRY
Andhra
Prasdesh State is one of the states in India having 23 districts
in which the total population of 90 million are living. The
pandemic of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) poses
a great challenge to the population that is living in developing
countries. And it is increasingly being realized that the
HIV/AIDS epidemic is likely to have a severe impact: on the
economy, on the social development sectors, and on the households
and the individuals as well. Our District (Guntur)
is one of the seven high-risk districts in India comprising
a greater number of HIV/AIDS infected people. About 60,000
(roughly 1 percent) of its total population has been infected
with HIV in the district.
So far affecting AIDS hit about 20,000 people in the district.
More than 50,000 people are living with HIV/HIV. It is a practical
reality that about 90% of infections are being identified
in the age group of 18-45, which is the productive age group.
A family might lose a breadwinner, causing a lifetime of poverty.
HARVEST INDIA has the burden to bring those
people to Hope Care Center and show the love of Christ.
Before
2010 India is going to lose 25% of its population to HIV/AIDS.
The Lord has given the 2 1/2 acres of land to HARVEST
INDIA to build a new facility for HIV/AIDS. This
facility is designed to treat 100 AIDS patients in-house and
provide the treatment for over 200 HIV patients per day in
the surrounding area. The total cost of these facilities will
be $300,000.00. We are praying that God will provide the resources
for this project by bringing together partners who have the
heart to join in this great work.

DRINKING
WATER
Over
480 Million people don't have access to safe drinking water.
In some Indian villages, women face the daily challenge of
collecting water for their families. They often walk a great
distance and spend up to four hours each day carrying water
to their homes. Even then, this need isn't always met. Occasionally
the women can only gather muddy water, and well owners often
chase them away. HARVEST INDIA is helping
to combat the problem by drilling water wells.
Once
the wills are in place, we teach them basic health practices.
The need is so great. In one region alone, 1500 villages,
in our ministry area, are still waiting for safe water wells.
When we are able to offer medicine and safe drinking water
and provide a permanent blessing for a village, their lives
are changed. HARVEST INDIA wants to make
this there continual mission in India. We want to do even
more, but it costs $1000 to put in one of these wells. When
you give $1000, a plaque will be placed next to the well with
your name and where you are from. If you would like to offer
these suffering people the wellspring of life by dedicating
a water-well, your gift can do so much to show people the
love of Jesus Christ.

WIDOWS
AND ELDERLY
We
have been looking after 58 old aged people in two different
homes. As you know India has no programs established to help
the elderly because most of them are working in the fields
all of their life. Not wanting to be a burden upon their childen
they must go into the streets and beg for food as they are
too weak to provide for themselves. HARVEST INDIA
has a burden to bring this aid and the Gospel to many homes
as God provides the funds needed to continue this ministry.

at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ. May God Bless You.
